Frequently asked questions
Frequently asked questions
General answers to the questions I am asked most often. Requirements depend on your circumstances and current tax law.
What documents are required for a tax return?
Required documents depend on your income sources and circumstances. They may include salary statements, bank or interest certificates, rental or business income records, and relevant expense documentation. A tailored checklist can be provided after an initial discussion.
How do I request assistance?
Message me on WhatsApp, send an email, or use the enquiry form on the Contact page. I aim to reply within a few working days, although response time is usually longer during filing season.
Who can you assist?
I assist salaried employees, individual taxpayers, professionals and small businesses. Whether I can help depends on the nature and complexity of your situation; an initial discussion is usually enough to confirm.
How are fees determined?
Fees depend on the complexity of the case, the volume of records and the scope agreed. There is no fixed price list because the work varies. You receive a fee discussion before any work begins, and nothing is charged until the scope is agreed.
Can you provide assistance remotely?
Yes. Most of the work can be done remotely using WhatsApp or email with digital copies of your documents, with an in-person meeting in Dhaka if it is useful. Very large volumes of physical records may require a meeting to review efficiently.
Are my documents kept confidential?
Client information is treated as confidential and used only for the purpose agreed. The enquiry form does not upload documents or send anything through this website — it prepares an email that you send yourself. Documents are shared by email rather than uploaded here.
Are you still working in audit?
My current full-time role is Deputy Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis at Akij Resource Limited. My audit and advisory experience was at Rahman Rahman Huq, Chartered Accountants (KPMG in Bangladesh), where I worked until September 2026.
